2022 Comp Policy
You have been added as editors on the 2022 Comp Google Doc.
Please note that comps are for festival participants only and cannot be extended to friends and family.
There are approximately 20 comps per show for festival artists. This includes the performing artists and their production team.
The balcony has been set aside for artists performing in each block including the show’s director, technicians, and creative team. You will need to sign up for those seats and will need to indicate “balcony” when you sign up.
If you do not sign up. You will not have a seat.
To give everyone a chance to see the other productions we ask that each artist involved in the festival sign up for one complimentary performance. On September 1st you are welcome to sign up for more if there are seats available.
If you are bubbled please indicate that by highlighting bubbled individuals in the same colour.
Please sign up with each individual's name and phone number for contact tracing, as well as "balcony" if you require a seat during the performance of your play.

Technical Information
A reminder to keep COVID protocols in mind in your show design. We cannot share props or set this year nor can we store sets and props together. Set up and breakdown must be much quicker than previous years and ideally, all productions must fit in one Tupperware bin. It's a challenge for sure- but we can navigate it together!
A Summary for those that missed the tech meeting:

- SMALLER = BETTER we will do everything that we can to support your production- however, before making special technical requests please be thoughtful about the time you have and what is absolutely essential for your production. As Robert mentioned last night this festival is meant to highlight performances and writing. We do not have the capacity to collaborate on and showcase design elements. (That would make a fabulous festival idea all on its own.)
- You will need to provide a cue caller.
- A cue sheet is recommended.
- All audio and video files should be on a jump drive or external hard drive. The Hall uses QLab- if you have access you are welcome to build your cues in that program.
- All cues should be numbered in order (01, 02, 03, etc).
- You have to take all of your things with you after tech rehearsal.
- You may leave your set and prop elements backstage between shows.
- Prop and set elements must be removed from the building after your final performance.
- Once your cast leaves the dressing room they cannot return. They must bring their belongings backstage and either exit through the theatre entrance stairs or sit in the balcony.
- Due to limited theatre capacity, we will live stream the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 7:00pm shows. If a member of your team is an ACTRA member, please get in touch.
A Summary for those that missed the tech meeting:
- The festival plan includes a general wash, 6 lighting zones: USL USC USR DSL DSC DSR, front light, back light, tops, and sides.
- You are able to choose from and mix neutral tones and cool tones.
- Anything outside of the above is considered a 'special'.
- A complete colour wash is not possible.
- Come to your tech meeting with a clear idea of setting and tone.
